The 19th death anniversary of Dr Mohammad Ibrahim, founder of the
Diabetic Association of Bangladesh was observed on
16 September, 2008.
The day starts offering fateha and placing wreaths at the grave of Dr
Ibrahim in the Banani graveyard in the morning. Discussion Meeting, Free diabetes screening in different places in the capital are
organized to mark the day.
Diabetic associations in all the districts was also observed the day
through various programs.
National Professor Dr. M Ibrahim established the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh in 1956 and the BIRDEM Hospital at Shahbag in Dhaka in 1979.
