Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre (RVTC), an Organization of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh, Established by National Prof Late DrMd. Ibrahim.
Goals & Objecteves
Main objective of Rehabilitation & Vocational Training Centre is to train the poor young Diabetic patient to help them to get employment after getting due training in different Trades. This helps the Diabetic patient to lead a meaningful, respectful life by generating their own means and resources for the control of their diabetics and lead a near normal life in the society.
Activities
As a part of this objectives the Centre receives and procures orders for the production of small tools, jute mills machinery spares parts and other items for different Organization including BIRDEM Hospital, N.H.N (National Health Care Network), Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute, Ibrahim Medical College, Health Care Development Project (HCDP), G.R foundation, Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd. Central Hospital , Aysha Memorial Hospital etc and different Jute Mills under Bangladesh Jute Mill Corporation (B.J.M.C). Profit accrued out of sale proceeds are utilized for rehabilitation of the poor diabetic patients. The Centre has an Engineering Workshop & a Handicraft Section along with Tailoring Section and a Needles Craft Section especially for the poor diabetic women and poor women of the Locality.
Rehabilitation & Vocational Training Centre presently has 08 (Eight) number diabetic patients. They are undergoing training and are also engaged in the Engineering workshop as helper. Their all expenses (boarding + lodging+ allowance) are borne by the Centre.
